Through this scheme, solar connections will be provided to about 17 thousand electricity consumers in the district and efforts will be made to reduce their monthly electricity bill. For which consumers will have to apply in the scheme and install solar energy plants on the roof of their house, which costs about 65 thousand rupees. On this solar plant, the central government will provide you a subsidy of 30 thousand rupees and the UP state government will provide a subsidy of 15,000 rupees, that is, you will get a discount of 45 thousand rupees. Beneficiaries will be able to enjoy free electricity by installing plants ranging from 1 to 10 kilowatts in their homes as per their requirement.

This scheme is operated through the central government. The main objective of this scheme is to provide relief from electricity bills to the poor and low-income group electricity consumers of the state. Through this scheme, solar plants are installed on the roofs of the beneficiaries’ houses, through which solar energy can be used in place of electricity and due to reduced electricity consumption, the burden of electricity bills on the beneficiaries will also be reduced.
