This is a different condition based on the number of eligible children for the beneficiaries. The government has tried to promote the development of eligible rural women participating in self-help groups. The main objective of the campaign is to exchange the beneficiaries into rural micro entrepreneurs. The target of annual income will be Rs 1 lakh for each member. The officials will provide the benefits of the program to the eligible people. Therefore, eligibility should be ensured before starting the application process. About 2.5 lakh women will participate in the Assam Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan 2024. Apart from this, the socio-economic condition of the beneficiaries and their standard of living will be improved.

Assam Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Eligibility

To qualify for Udyamita Abhiyaan, applicants must fulfil the below criteria

  • Aadhaar number of women applicants must be linked to their bank account. Applicants must not have overdue loans from their Self Help Groups (SHGs), banks or associations.
  • Applicants from the General and OBC categories must not have more than three children. People from the SC/ST/Moran/Matak/Tea Tribe categories are allowed up to four children. Applicants with two children need to make a commitment to stay within the specified number of children.
  • Beneficiaries with a daughter must ensure that she attends school if she is of school-going age. An agreement is required to ensure the enrolment of any daughter who is not currently attending school. In addition, participants must ensure the survival of trees planted as part of the Amrit Vriksha Movement initiative.

Assam Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Benefits

The section below contains details about the benefits that will be provided to the eligible beneficiaries only. Read the benefits of this campaign carefully below.

  • In the coming 2 years, Rs 12,500 will be provided through the government and Rs 12,500 through the concerned bank. This means a total of Rs 25,000 will be provided.
  • Rs 10,000 will be given to each member in the first year on fulfilling the required eligibility criteria.
  • The amount provided through the bank has to be returned. Whereas, the government help is a non-refundable amount.
  • Around Rs 35,000 is distributed to each eligible beneficiary in 3 years to support their journey to become Lakhpati Baidya.

The loan amount given to the eligible beneficiaries is given below-

  • First Year: The government provides an initial amount of Rs. 10,000.
  • Second Year: In the second year, the beneficiaries will get Rs. 12,500 from the state government, and the bank will provide a loan of Rs. 12,500 to the beneficiaries.
