Kanya Sumangala Scheme 2024, Eligibility, Benefits, Levels, Apply Online Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday announced to increase the amount given to the beneficiaries through the ‘Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana’ from the existing ₹15,000 to ₹25,000. He made this announcement on the festival of Raksha Bandhan. Currently, through this scheme, beneficiaries are provided a benefit of ₹15,000 in six phases, the main objective of which is to celebrate the birth of girls.
And “this will make it easier for daughters to get education to full fill their dreams and become self-reliant.” At present, ₹16.24 lakh daughters are taking advantage of this scheme in the state. “From next year, as soon as a girl child is born, an amount of ₹5,000 will be transferred to her parents’ account. When she turns one year old, ₹2,000 will be transferred, when she takes admission in Class 1, ₹3,000, when she takes admission in Class 6, ₹3,000, when she takes admission in Class 9, ₹5,000 and if she pursues graduation, diploma or certificate course, ₹7,000 will be transferred to her account.”

Kanya Sumangala Yojana Eligibility 2024
- The family of the beneficiary should be eligible for residence proof of being a resident of Uttar Pradesh.
- In which ration card/Aadhar card/voter ID card/electricity/telephone bill will be valid.
- The annual income of the beneficiary should be less than Rs. 3.00 lakh.
- Only a maximum of two girls in a family can avail the benefit of the scheme. There should be a maximum of two children in the family.
